FortressPoint was established to fill a critical gap in enterprise security — organisations operating in the UK, Nigeria, and across West Africa that needed genuine security capability, not compliance theatre. We exist to deliver security programmes that are proportionate to risk, grounded in operational reality, and built to be sustained long after our engagement ends.

FortressPoint — founding principle
Our story
FortressPoint was founded on a straightforward observation: across the UK and Nigeria, too many organisations were purchasing compliance artefacts rather than building genuine security capability. The gap between document-heavy audit preparation and real operational resilience is significant, and the cost of that gap is measured in breaches, regulatory penalties, and eroded board confidence.
Our founders brought together experience from financial services security, critical national infrastructure, and executive advisory practice across both markets. That cross-market perspective shaped everything: the service lines we chose to build, the regulatory frameworks we developed expertise around, and the conviction that effective security leadership should be accessible to organisations without the budget for a full in-house security function.
The decision to operate across both the UK and Nigeria was deliberate, not incidental. Nigeria represents one of Africa's most dynamic and complex digital economies — undergoing rapid technological adoption whilst navigating evolving obligations under the NDPA 2023, the CBN cybersecurity framework, and the NCC's telecommunications security directives. Serving that market with genuine technical depth, rather than generic advisory, is a competitive position we have built deliberately.
Today, FortressPoint serves micro to large enterprises, regulated financial institutions, and telecommunications providers across both markets. Our measure of success is not the certificates our clients achieve — it is the measurable reduction in exposure, the improvement in governance posture, and the confidence of the boards and leadership teams who no longer treat security as an annual audit event.
What drives us
We give clients an honest assessment of their security posture, even when the findings are uncomfortable. Our engagements begin with an accurate picture of where things stand — not an optimistic one shaped by the desire to retain a client. Organisations that have worked with consultancies which tell them what they want to hear understand the cost of that approach. We do not repeat it.
